Sitting and Playing

I guess it's just a Mommy thing to be completely smitten by your baby. August is SO cute!!!!

He showed off his new sitting skills like a pro while Madelyn played at a birthday party. 

He kind of played with some toys too.

 

Madelyn shared her birthday hat with August.  I love it now that he can sit up - it means I can set him down at home when I just need an extra hand for a moment, even on the wood floor.  

At Grandma's

Grandma Bonnie took a few pictures of the kids on her bed while she was babysitting. I really like the way these turned out - the lighting and shadows are interesting!
 

 

 

Sitting up is August's latest trick - it's amazing to me how quickly it seems he went from balancing for a few seconds with help to sitting unsupported for indefinite periods of time!

Splashing

August really loves taking a bath! He has starting splashing and giggling in the water, it's so fun.

First Cereal

Yep, he's already old enough to start eating food! Time is flying by way too fast with this one.

Rolling Over, Caught on Tape

Just before Thanksgiving, August rolled over front-to-back, and the next day he rolled over from back-to-front twice! So I thought he was "rolling over," but then he would not do it again.  Gary (who didn't witness these 3 rolls) was convinced I had made it up. :)  

I had both kids playing at Curves (after hours) while I finished some work.  One of my projects included taking some photos of the club, so I just happened to have my camera in hand when I noticed August in the process of rolling onto his tummy! I quickly turned it on and caught just the end of this roll, then Madelyn and I coaxed him to roll back over for the camera too, so we could prove to Daddy it really happened!

So now he is officially rolling over fairly consistently.  (and no, Madelyn was not attacking him with the scissors)
